Law enforcement officials in Bulgaria have uncovered a large-scale cannabis plantation set up in a former zinc mine. Three people have already been arrested in connection with the case.

According to Emil Borisov, deputy director of the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime, searches yielded approximately 70 kg of drugs, 600,000 euros in cash, and 600 rounds of ammunition.
Law enforcement officials determined that the mine was equipped with modern infrastructure and was likely used for large-scale drug production for subsequent sale abroad.
The site is located near the village of Harlyano at the foot of Mount Osogovo.
The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officials are also searching for another suspect involved in organizing the illegal production.
