A bus carrying the São Paulo soccer club, with 86 kg of drugs on board, was detained in Bolivia
Bolivian law enforcement officers detained a bus belonging to the Brazilian soccer club “São Paulo,” in which they discovered 86 kg of cannabis. The vehicle was stopped during a routine check in Bolivia.
According to a UOL source, the incident occurred as the team was traveling to a Round of 16 match in the South American Cup against Bolivia’s Bolívar (1–1). Four packages of drugs were found on the bus.
During the operation, three drivers responsible for the transport were detained. The Brazilian club was provided with another bus. An investigation is currently underway.
