More than 200 cats competed at an international show in Bucharest — The Guardian
In Bucharest, Romania, more than 200 cats took part in the Romania International Cat Show — an international beauty competition for cats known as the “cat Oscars.” The Guardian reports this. During the show, the cats were judged.

The photo selection featured British Shorthairs, Bengals, Siamese, Persians, Abyssinians, Sphynxes, and Exotic Shorthairs. One photograph shows a Siamese cat named Laffy. Another image featured a Bengal cat named Tristan.

During judging, a British Shorthair was playing, while another photograph showed a cat of this breed resting. Sphynxes were photographed while posing, as well as when a woman was supporting one of them. The selection includes images of Persian, Abyssinian, and Exotic Shorthair cats.
The photographs are credited to Associated Press photographers Andreea Alexandru and Vadim Ghirda. One image shows two Sphynxes.
