On the morning of October 3, five drones crossed into Moldovan airspace. The incidents occurred amid a massive Russian attack on Ukraine.

According to the National Army’s Aviation Operations Service, the drones were in Moldovan airspace from approximately 7:45 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

The National Integrated Monitoring System detected them near Novi Aneni, Ștefan Voda, Hîncești, Tudori, and Caușani.

Police officers and members of the Moldovan National Army were dispatched to the scenes.

At around 7:50 a.m., the Caușeni police received a report of an explosion outside the city. Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and found drone debris and thick smoke.

Drone fragments were also found near Dubovka and Hincesti.

Another piece of debris was found in the Novoanensky District between the villages of Delacau and Pugaceni.

A separate explosion occurred near the village of Krokmaz in the Ștefan-Voda district, in a field with a vineyard not far from an agricultural brigade. After the explosion, vegetation caught fire, and windows in a building were damaged.

Law enforcement officials continue to work at the scenes to determine the circumstances surrounding the debris falls and explosions. Moldovan residents have been urged not to approach the sites of the explosions or the discovered drone fragments.

This is not the first such incident in Moldova in recent days.

At that time, debris from the drone scattered within a radius of about 265 meters.

The explosion left marks on the antenna structure at a height of about 40 meters, but no disruptions to mobile service were reported. There were also no casualties.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense and the General Inspectorate of the Moldovan Police.
