Authorities in the Czech Republic are investigating a fire at a drone factory supplying Ukraine; they have not ruled out Russian involvement

Czech police, in collaboration with the defense company LPP, are investigating a fire at a facility in Pardubice as a possible act of sabotage; in particular, they are looking into the possibility of Russian involvement.

This was reported by Reuters.

The incident occurred on Friday—the fire damaged production facilities and warehouses at the plant, located approximately 120 km from Prague.

Police are treating the incident as a deliberate attack after Czech media received letters from a group that opposes arms production for Israel and claimed responsibility for the arson.

Meanwhile, LPP stated that it is working with law enforcement to analyze other possible motives, including a potential connection to Russia.

Despite the incident, the company reported that the fire did not affect contract fulfillment—the delivery of 40 strike drones to Ukraine will proceed as planned.

LPP also emphasized that it does not manufacture products for Israel and does not cooperate with the Israeli company Elbit Systems, as previously announced partnership plans were never implemented.

As a reminder, protesters in the Czech Republic set fire to a factory owned by the Israeli corporation Elbit Systems, which specializes in the production of defense equipment. The incident occurred on the company’s premises, resulting in damage to the production facilities.

A fire broke out at an industrial complex in the Czech city of Pardubice that manufactured drones for delivery to Ukraine. Law enforcement is investigating the incident as arson.
