Nigerian woman who lost contact after arrival found in Doha
In Doha, Qatar, 37-year-old Nigerian citizen Saratu Jibo Yusuf, whose family lost contact with her after she arrived on a flight from Lagos, has been found safe. Premium Times Nigeria reports, citing her brother Jonathan Jibo.
According to her brother, Yusuf was feeling unwell, so she was taken from the airport to a hospital. He thanked the people who shared information about his sister's disappearance, as well as the Nigerian Embassy in Doha, Qatar Airways, and Michael Achimugu, a representative of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.
Contact lost after arrival
Saratu Jibo Yusuf flew from Lagos to Doha on Qatar Airways flight QR1408 on September 1. Her family said that the woman stopped communicating after her arrival. She last contacted her relatives via WhatsApp using Wi-Fi on board the aircraft.

A family friend who was waiting for her at the airport was unable to find her. Her relatives contacted the airline and airport administration, where they were told that Yusuf had collected her luggage and left the terminal.
Explanation from the aviation authority
Michael Achimugu said that he personally spoke with Yusuf and made sure that she was safe. According to him, her phone and international passport were being held by customs while officials were clarifying certain issues, so she was unable to contact anyone.
Achimugu added that Yusuf was allowed to leave customs and her belongings were returned to her. He also said that Nigerian citizen Yusuf Adesoga had contacted security authorities in Doha and helped establish the woman's whereabouts.
