Diversions introduced near Al Safa and City Walk in Dubai
In Dubai, United Arab Emirates, traffic diversions have been introduced in the area of Al Safa Street and City Walk. Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said the changes are in effect as part of the Al Safa Street development project.
Traffic changes near City Walk
The roadworks include diversions on both sides of Al Satwa and Al Multaqa streets. According to The National, the changes are intended to facilitate traffic around the City Walk area while the work is being carried out.
The RTA said the temporary traffic arrangement on Al Safa Street was introduced to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow and ease travel until the project is completed.

Transport corridor development
Earlier this year, Dubai announced a 2 billion dirham project aimed at improving connections between the emirate’s key roads and reducing congestion. The RTA announced the awarding of a contract to develop the 12-kilometre Latifa Bint Hamdan corridor.
The corridor is set to connect Sheikh Zayed Road with Al Khail Road, Al Meydan Road, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Road and Emirates Road. Completion is scheduled by the end of 2028. The project includes seven bridges with a combined length of 2.3 km and eight tunnels with a total length of 900 metres. Capacity in both directions is expected to exceed 16,000 vehicles per hour.
