Yemen reports more than 2,300 Houthis killed and wounded in three days — Asharq Al-Awsat
Yemen’s government forces said that 2,316 Houthi movement fighters were killed and wounded over three days of fighting on eight fronts across the country. According to their data, the most intense fighting is continuing in the provinces of Taiz and Lahj, Asharq Al-Awsat reports.
Yemeni armed forces claim they carried out 706 strikes on Houthi positions on the fronts in Kitaf, Al-Baqa, Alab, Al-Jawf, Marib, Al-Bayda, Lahj and Taiz. According to the military, aircraft, drones, snipers, artillery and rocket launchers were used in the operations.
Fighting in Taiz
In Taiz, according to official military sources, aircraft carried out five strikes on Houthi positions in the east of the province. The targets were identified as the Mawiya intersection, an area near Saleh city and an engineering corps reception camp. Field sources claimed that the strikes coincided with a meeting of Houthi military commanders and the arrival of reinforcements.
Government forces also said they repelled Houthi attacks on the Al-Anin front and in the Jabal Habashi area. Artillery, according to their account, struck Houthi concentrations and positions in several areas west of Taiz, while air defense shot down a Houthi drone over the Al-Qadaha front.

Strikes on reinforcements
Representatives of government forces say they attacked not only frontline positions but also routes used to redeploy personnel and military equipment. Local sources reported that the Houthis sent hundreds of fighters in dozens of buses from the Al-Udayn district in Ibb province to Jabal Ras in Hodeidah, as well as additional reinforcements toward the Haifan front in Taiz.
Military spokesman Majed Al-Nazaeili said government forces killed four Iranian specialists in Taiz who, he claimed, were involved in operating and launching drones and missiles. He did not provide their names or other details.
In Lahj, clashes continued on axes connected to the western coast and areas near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Field sources reported that the Giants Brigades used drones against Houthi concentrations and vehicles in Kahbub and repelled another attack.
