Yemen reports destruction of five Houthi vehicles — Anadolu Agency
Yemen’s government-affiliated Giants Brigades said they destroyed five Houthi military vehicles on the Kahbub front near the Bab al-Mandab Strait. According to the unit, all people who were in the vehicles were killed.
Unit statement
As Anadolu Agency reports, the Giants Brigades media center released the relevant statement on Facebook without specifying the number of those killed.
According to the media center, one of the destroyed vehicles belonged to an unidentified commander, while another was transporting 23 mm weaponry. The unit also shared a video that it said showed vehicles engulfed in flames. The Houthis did not immediately comment on these reports.

Strategic area
The Kahbub Mountains are located in Lahj Governorate near the Bab al-Mandab Strait. They are of strategic importance because they rise above a key international maritime route connecting the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
According to the agency, fighting has resumed on several Yemeni fronts since July, while clashes intensified in September. The Anadolu Agency report described this escalation as the largest since a period of relative calm following the truce in April 2022.
