In France, law enforcement officials have arrested a 15-year-old boy suspected of involvement in a large-scale cyberattack on a government agency.

According to the Paris prosecutor’s office, the attack took place on April 15 against the ANTS agency, which is responsible for processing digital documents.

As a result of the breach, data from approximately 12 million accounts was stolen. Some of this information was later discovered on the dark web, where it was being sold under the pseudonym “breach3d.”

Investigators believe that a detained teenager may be behind this pseudonym.

He was taken into custody on April 25. Under the charges brought against him, he faces up to seven years in prison and a fine of up to 300,000 euros.

Hackers stole user data from Booking.com.

Russian hackers breached over 280 accounts of NATO and Balkan institutions.
