In Ghana, MP Ablakwa gives bicycles to 100 day students
In Ghana, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for the North Tongu constituency, presented bicycles to 100 newly admitted day students at senior high schools. The presentation was part of an annual support programme for students who had just enrolled in such schools.
Support for students
The programme covered a total of 2,269 newly admitted senior high school students in the constituency. They received mattresses, storage trunks and exercise books. Female students were also given sanitary pads and other hygiene products.

According to MyJoyOnline, Ablakwa described this year's programme as successful. He noted that the support should help students begin senior high school with basic necessities regardless of their financial circumstances.

The MP urged the students to take their studies seriously and wished them success.
