In Ghana, John Dumelo, the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, who is also Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, wished success to the three finalist schools in the 2026 National Science and Maths Quiz. This was reported by MyJoyOnline.

Three schools in the final

Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC-Legon), St Augustine’s College and Accra Academy will compete for the NSMQ title. The grand final is scheduled to take place at 3:00 p.m. at the Premier Dome of the University of Ghana.

Dumelo said he wished all three schools success. At the same time, he jokingly expressed doubt about Accra Academy’s victory, although he acknowledged the historic nature of its reaching the final and noted that the school could still deliver a surprise.
