In Ghana, John Boadu received the first ballot position in the NPP chairmanship election

In Ghana, former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) John Boadu received the first position on the ballot in the election for the party’s national chair, scheduled for October 3, 2026. The draw was held ahead of the election of the new NPP national leadership, MyJoyOnline reports.

Order of candidates on the ballot

The second position went to former Second Vice Chair of the party Sammy Crabbe. Former NPP National Chair Paul Afoko received the third position, while former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko received the fourth.

Four candidates are taking part in the election for national chair. The vote on October 3 is expected to determine the new composition of the party’s national leadership.
