District police headquarters renovated in Kpando, Ghana

In Kpando, Ghana, the district police headquarters has been renovated and handed over to the Ghana Police Service. Police commended Kpando Municipal Chief Executive Killian Donkor for restoring the building and providing resources to support police work, MyJoyOnline reports.

Handover of the headquarters

The renovated building was officially commissioned and handed over to the Kpando District Police Command on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

North Volta Regional Police Deputy Commander ACP Cuthbert Aapengnuo thanked Donkor for the resources provided to support police and security operations in the municipality. He also called on other stakeholders to support efforts to improve the working conditions and operational capabilities of the Ghana Police Service.

New police stations

Killian Donkor pledged to build additional police stations on plots of land that have already been secured within the municipality. According to him, this is intended to expand the police presence and improve the area’s security coverage.

Aapengnuo assured residents that the Ghana Police Service would maintain the renovated headquarters in proper condition and continue working to ensure peace and security in Kpando.
