Lviv Resilience Day Kicked Off in Gdańsk
The Lviv Resilience Day event, organized by Lviv ahead of the International Conference on Ukraine’s Recovery (Ukraine Recovery Conference), has begun in the Polish city of Gdańsk.
According to Sadovyi, the event is expected to include the signing of five important agreements covering healthcare, education, energy resilience, and international cooperation.
The mayor noted that the new agreements are intended to expand international partnerships, attract additional resources, and strengthen Lviv’s resilience amid the war.
“New opportunities for Lviv, new partnerships, and additional resources that will help the city become stronger,” he emphasized.
Lviv Resilience Day serves as a preparatory event for the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which is dedicated to Ukraine’s long-term recovery and mobilizing international support.
The event in Gdańsk aims to strengthen coordination between Ukrainian cities and international partners ahead of the main conference.
This was announced by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi on Telegram.
On June 24, Tomasz Semoniak, Poland’s Minister-Coordinator for Special Services, called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s decision not to participate in the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk the right one. According to him, this step is justified given the current security and organizational circumstances.
