An 80-year-old Israeli woman staying at a hotel was attacked in Paris, France, on the night from Friday to Saturday. This was reported by the Jerusalem Post, citing Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Assistance for the woman and her family
After receiving a report of the attack, Israel’s consul in Paris and an Israeli Foreign Ministry unit responsible for assisting citizens in distress abroad contacted the woman and her family.
The ministry said that officials remain in constant contact with them, are cooperating with local authorities for further consideration of the case, and are providing assistance to the victim.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry did not provide further details about the circumstances of the incident, the identity of the attacker, or the woman’s condition. The motive for the attack has also not been confirmed: it is unknown whether it was antisemitic in nature.
The Jerusalem Post article also mentions a separate incident in Paris in July: a man was detained after he wounded three women with two kitchen knives near Place de Clichy. All three victims were taken to hospital.
