Road access to mudslide-hit area in Gyirong restored in China
In the area of Gyirong Port in the Xizang Tibet Autonomous Region in southwestern China, road access to the territory affected by a mudslide has largely been restored. According to ECNS, the disaster struck Gyirong about a week before the article was published on September 3, causing heavy casualties and leaving many people missing.
Access to the disaster zone
As of 10:00 on Wednesday, road access to the affected area had mostly been restored. Rescue units, aid supplies and some equipment reached the main disaster zone by road.

Cause of the mudslide
