The Kremlin Responded to Putin's Invitation to the U.S. for the G20 Summit
The Kremlin has responded positively to the invitation extended to Vladimir Putin by the U.S. side to participate in the G20 summit in the United States. This was stated by Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
According to him, this issue will be further discussed through diplomatic channels. A final decision regarding the Russian president’s participation in the meeting of G20 leaders has not yet been announced.
“Russia is grateful for the invitation extended to Putin to attend the G20 summit—this will be worked out further through diplomatic channels,” Peskov said.
Earlier, the Kremlin responded to the proposal for a meeting between Zelenskyy and Putin at the G20.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has not yet made a decision regarding his participation in the G20 summit and, accordingly, regarding a meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
As a reminder, Zelenskyy effectively proposed to the Kremlin leader that they hold a face-to-face meeting specifically during the Group of Twenty summit in December 2026.
Prior to this, the U.S. had invited Putin to the December G20 summit in Miami.
