In Kumasi, Ghana, parents said that unidentified individuals allegedly requested up to 300 Ghanaian cedis for the opportunity to bypass queues at a school placement resolution center. This concerns the operation of the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) in the Ashanti Region.
Claims of payments to bypass the queue
As MyJoyOnline reports, some parents claim that unknown individuals charged up to 300 Ghanaian cedis to help candidates proceed without lengthy waiting. According to the parents, these claims heightened tensions at the center and caused confusion among visitors.

Parents also said that after waiting for several hours, some people left the process. They stated that certain people in uniform were allegedly allowed to proceed outside the queue. In the parents' view, this gave others an opportunity to ask for money from those seeking to speed up the process.
More visitors and a slow process
On the third day of the resolution process, the number of parents and candidates at the center rose sharply compared with the previous day. Despite the increase in visitors, the process remained slow. According to the outlet, the center appeared overcrowded because of the large number of people needing assistance.
