Asta Skysgirite, senior advisor to the President of Lithuania, stated that she currently sees no grounds for resuming dialogue with Russia. According to her, the current situation does not create conditions for any contact with Moscow, and Vilnius’s position remains unchanged regarding the absence of a negotiation process.
Her statement was reported by Delfi.
Lithuania emphasizes that a decision on a possible resumption of dialogue can only be considered if there is a fundamental change in Russia’s behavior.
Skysgirite is convinced that dialogue could be resumed if Russia “does something to restore it, for example, ends the war in Ukraine, withdraws its troops from Ukrainian territory, and puts an end to this military adventure.”
"Yes, then we can talk. But what is there to talk about now? I don’t see what," she emphasized.
