Massachusetts issues arrest warrant for woman married to slain police officer
In the city of Worcester, Massachusetts, an arrest warrant was issued for 58-year-old Karen Solomon, who remained missing as of Sunday. This came more than five days after police found Officer Kurt Solomon, to whom she was married, dead in the home, The Guardian reports.
Warrant and circumstances of death
According to Worcester Police Chief Paul Saucier, the warrant concerns a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He also said that Kurt Solomon suffered a fatal injury caused by a sharp object, but did not specify what it was.
Kurt Solomon served in the police force for 31 years. According to Saucier, he was an excellent police officer and a person who will be missed. A farewell ceremony for the officer is scheduled for Tuesday, with the funeral set for Wednesday.

Search for Karen Solomon
Karen Solomon was last captured by a doorbell camera early Tuesday morning. In the footage, she is walking down the street in a T-shirt, shorts and flip-flops — several minutes after police arrived at the home where Kurt Solomon was found.
Worcester city authorities said on Friday that public areas near Coes Pond would remain closed while a search involving divers and police dogs continued.
Karen Solomon wrote two books about the physical and psychological experiences of emergency services workers and helped found First Help, an organization that addresses their mental health issues. Court records show that the Solomons lived in the same home and were married, but law enforcement officials declined to comment on their current relationship, citing confidentiality rules in domestic violence cases.
