In Moscow, government-owned Aurus vehicles are waiting in line to fill up

In Moscow, amid fuel shortages, even Aurus government vehicles with flashing lights were spotted in the long lines at gas stations. An eyewitness posted a video from the scene, and the footage quickly went viral online.

In Moscow, the lines at gas stations appear to have even affected the vehicles used by Russian officials. At one gas station, government Aurus limousines with flashing lights were spotted waiting in line with other drivers to refuel. A woman who happened to witness the situation posted a video from the scene. According to her, it all happened on Tuesday, June 30, around 3:30 p.m. on Butyrskaya Street, not far from the center of Moscow.

The footage shows a long line of cars lined up at the Rosneft gas station. According to the woman who filmed the video, the traffic jam was caused precisely by the large number of cars waiting for fuel. “They’re waiting to fill up. This is all a traffic jam leading up to the ‘Rosneft’ gas station,” the woman says, pointing to the line of cars.

The Aurus cars particularly caught users’ attention. These vehicles are considered Russian premium limousines, designed to transport the country’s top leadership. The presence of such cars in the general line sparked lively discussion on social media. At the same time, the Aurus project itself is also going through difficult times. According to media reports, the car manufacturer is facing a number of problems. These include weak demand, the company’s losses, and difficulties with the supply of foreign components.

As a result, the plant in Tatarstan that manufactures these vehicles may have to cut back on production. So far, Russian authorities have not provided any official comments regarding the appearance of government vehicles in the line at a gas station. At the same time, the published video serves as yet another indication of fuel supply problems, which have been reported with increasing frequency in various regions of Russia recently.

In Rublyovka, one of the most prestigious districts in the Moscow region, long lines have formed at gas stations due to a fuel shortage. Videos of the traffic jams near gas stations are being shared by local residents.
