In Germany, police conducted searches in connection with a case involving the sale of stolen goods — Spiegel

German law enforcement officials conducted large-scale raids as part of an investigation into tax evasion and the illegal sale of stolen property.

This was reported by the Saxony State Criminal Police Office, according to Spiegel.

Searches took place simultaneously in eight federal states. According to investigators, searches were conducted at 52 locations, including apartments, offices, and tax offices in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia, Brandenburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, and Hesse. 

More than 300 police and tax officials participated in the operation.

According to reports, one arrest warrant was executed as part of the investigation. Six suspects from Leipzig are under investigation. 

According to law enforcement officials, the case is linked to crimes involving the trade in reusable pallets and may involve so-called clan structures. 

The total damage is estimated at more than 2.2 million euros. Law enforcement officials emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and that analyzing the seized evidence will take time.
