Orbán may be planning to flee to the U.S. — journalist

Hungarian investigative journalist Szabolcs Páni claims that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán may be preparing to leave for the United States in the event that the political situation escalates.

According to the journalist, Orbán’s decision to relinquish his parliamentary seat in the new session of parliament means the loss of immunity, which could be linked to potential risks of legal prosecution.

Additionally, as Páni notes, the postponement of the Fidesz party leadership elections and Orbán’s planned trip to the U.S. may indicate preparations for a contingency plan.

The journalist speculates that the United States could be viewed as a potential refuge for the Hungarian prime minister.

However, there is currently no official confirmation of this information.

Hungary’s soon-to-be former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has announced his resignation from his parliamentary seat. However, he expressed his willingness to continue leading the Fidesz party if the party congress supports his candidacy.

Recall that the Hungarian government has accused the social media platform Facebook of political bias against Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

Despite Orbán’s ban, Ukraine will receive 90 billion: IPA President Galina Heylo on the EU’s plans to finance the country.
