There are nearly 400,000 Ukrainians working in Germany

In Germany, the number of Ukrainians in the workforce has reached about 400,000. Nearly 350,000 of them officially pay contributions to the social insurance system.

According to the German Federal Employment Agency, the employment rate among Ukrainian citizens was 39.7% in June.

Compared to last year, the number of Ukrainians employed in the country has increased by approximately 64,000. On average, more than 5,000 Ukrainians find employment each month.

At the same time, a significant number of Ukrainians continue to receive basic unemployment benefits. In May, there were 474,534 such individuals. However, over the course of the year, their number decreased by 19,163 people, or 3.9%.

Thus, the proportion of Ukrainians who are gradually transitioning from social assistance to employment continues to grow.
