Pakistan police stations protected with nets against drone attacks — Dawn

Protective nets have been installed at police stations and checkpoints considered sensitive in Peshawar and other areas of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province due to the growing threat of drone attacks. Dawn reports, citing officials.

Protection of police facilities

According to officials, the nets have already helped prevent two drone attacks targeting the Matani police station.

In recent months, militants have attempted to attack police stations and checkpoints in Peshawar and other districts using quadcopters and drones. Police representatives said the nets are intended to prevent strikes on police facilities and protect personnel and buildings.
