Police officer detained in Pakistan during ACE raid
In Taxila, Pakistan, officers of the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) detained a police officer holding the rank of sub-inspector during an operation at the Saddar Wah police station. As Dawn reports, the operation was carried out following a citizen's complaint against the law enforcement officer.

According to the publication's sources, the ACE team detained the sub-inspector after discovering 20,000 Pakistani rupees in marked banknotes. According to preliminary information, anti-corruption authorities began proceedings after receiving a complaint about the police officer.

Court decision
The ACE group was led by Inspector Imran Aslam. Judicial Magistrate Qaisar Abbas arrived at the police station with him, after which the sub-inspector was taken into custody.
The police officer was later brought before a criminal court. The court authorized the detainee's custody for three days.
