Body of woman with burn marks found near landfill in South Africa
In Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, the decomposing body of a woman was found near a landfill in the Copesville area. Police in KwaZulu-Natal province have opened a murder case.
The body was discovered by a waste picker
A waste picker found the body on Tuesday afternoon in Copesville. As TimesLIVE reports, the deceased woman's hands were tied behind her back.
KwaZulu-Natal South African Police Service spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said the woman's body had multiple burn injuries.

Appeal for help with identification
Police called on people whose relatives or friends have gone missing to come forward for the possible identification of the deceased.
The discovery was made amid nationwide concern over women's safety in South Africa. In Ekurhuleni, Gauteng province, a task force has been investigating the discovery of the bodies of eight women in recent weeks.
