Two people seriously injured in crash on N3 highway in South Africa
Two people sustained serious injuries after two cars collided on the N3 highway near Vosloorus in Ekurhuleni, South Africa. The accident occurred on Sunday morning.
Collision near Barry Marais off-ramp
According to TimesLIVE, a Renault Clio and a Toyota Avanza were involved in the crash. Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police spokesperson Millicent Kekana said the collision occurred shortly before the Barry Marais off-ramp.
According to preliminary information, both vehicles were travelling south, collided, lost control and overturned. They subsequently ended up on the northbound carriageway of the N3.

Northbound traffic affected
The two seriously injured people were taken to Thelle Mogoerwane Hospital for further treatment. Other people in the vehicles sustained minor injuries.
Both northbound lanes of the N3 were affected by the crash, and drivers were advised to pass the accident scene using the shoulder. Ekurhuleni traffic police and municipal emergency response services worked at the scene. Drivers were urged to be cautious, reduce speed and watch for pedestrians who may try to cross the highway.
