Everland Park has launched the final round of voting to choose a name for the panda
South Korea’s Everland theme park has launched the final round of public voting to name a giant panda cub born in June. Voting will continue through August 30, according to ECNS.
A committee of keepers, veterinarians, and park staff selected five finalists from among the suggestions submitted online. The list includes Ju Bao (“precious jade”), Jun Bao (“outstanding treasure”), Lin Bao (“precious jade”), Yu Bao (“blessed treasure”), and Shu Bao (“treasure of dawn”).

You can vote via the Everland and Panda World apps, as well as the Chinese Embassy’s social media platforms. The winning name is scheduled to be announced in September, when the cub turns 100 days old.
The panda was born on June 3 to Ai Bao and Le Bao—giant pandas from China who currently live in South Korea. At 77 days old, the cub weighed 3.7 kilograms. According to ECNS, it was in good health.
