In Ghana, NPP nomination hopeful visits Mim Market — MyJoyOnline

Former Deputy Director-General of the Ghana Education Service Kwabena Bempah Tandoh visited traders at Mim Market in Ghana’s Asunafo North District. He is holding meetings with district residents as he seeks nomination as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate.

Meeting with traders

As MyJoyOnline reports, Tandoh visited the market on Monday, September 14, 2026. He spoke with traders, visited market stalls and shops, and distributed aprons to some vendors.

Tandoh thanked the person whom the source calls the Market Queen Mother, as well as the traders, for their reception. According to him, the visit made it possible to hear directly from traders and present his ideas for sustainable growth, community development and shared prosperity in Asunafo North.

Campaign ahead of primaries

Tandoh described market traders as the backbone of the local economy and stressed the need to support local businesses and create conditions for them to expand their operations. He also called on residents for unity, dialogue and joint action for the development of the district.

The meeting at Mim Market was part of his campaign ahead of the NPP parliamentary primaries. Mim is one of the major towns in the Asunafo North Municipality in the Ahafo Region, whose administrative centre is Goaso.
