St. Petersburg has issued its first official warning about a mobile internet blackout

St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov publicly acknowledged for the first time that mobile internet access had been blocked in the city and urged residents to view the situation “with understanding.”

He announced this on his Telegram channel.

According to Beglov, the restrictions were imposed for security reasons. At the same time, the governor did not report any drone attacks on the city.

As local media note, this is the first time the St. Petersburg authorities have officially acknowledged the blocking of mobile internet.

Restrictions in the city have been in place for the third consecutive day. Earlier, an air raid alert was declared in the Leningrad Region.

In Russia, muftis have begun to be detained following statements about a possible “seizure of power” by Muslims.

Currently, the Kremlin is increasingly preparing for a possible end to the war against Ukraine, but Russian dictator Vladimir Putin still does not have a clear plan for exiting the conflict.
