In Poland, 54% of respondents negatively assessed the situation in the country — Interia
In Poland, 54% of participants in CBOS’s September survey said that the overall situation in the country is moving in the wrong direction. It was assessed positively by 26% of respondents — 5 percentage points fewer than in August. The share of negative assessments increased by 7 points over the month — from 47% to 54%, Interia reports.
Expectations for the next year
Deterioration in Poland’s overall situation over the next year is forecast by 38% of respondents. In August, 27% of respondents held this view. There are fewer optimistic forecasts: 12% of survey participants expect improvement, compared with 16% a month earlier.
The situation in Polish politics was assessed as bad by 48% of respondents, while in August this figure was 45%. Only 12% of respondents described it as good. A deterioration in the political situation over the year was indicated by 34% of survey participants, which is 7 percentage points more than a month earlier.

Assessments of the economy and family well-being
The share of those who consider the state of the Polish economy to be good fell from 37% to 32% in September. At the same time, the share of critical assessments rose from 25% to 32%. A worsening economic situation over the year is expected by 33% of respondents, compared with 20% in August, while 14% expect improvement.
Some 62% of respondents assessed their family situation as good, compared with 66% in August. Most survey participants — 60% — expect that in a year their families will live approximately the same as they do now. The share of those predicting improvement decreased from 18% to 15%, while pessimistic expectations increased from 13% to 16%.
Regarding the financial situation of households, 67% of respondents do not expect changes over the next year. Improvement is forecast by 17% of respondents, while 16% expect deterioration.
