In Poland, Tusk’s “Civic Coalition” maintains a commanding lead
Poland’s ruling Civic Coalition party continues to lead in the polls, ahead of the main opposition force—the conservative Law and Justice party.
This was reported by RMF24, citing a poll by Opinia24.
According to the survey results, if elections were held in the near future, 35.2% of respondents would vote for the Civic Coalition. This is one percentage point higher than in the previous poll.
“Law and Justice” ranks second with 22% support—unchanged from the previous poll.
In third place is the far-right “Confederation,” which lost 1.7 percentage points and received 12.8%.
Also entering parliament are “New Left” with 6.9% support (+0.8) and the far-right “Confederation of the Polish Crown” with 6.6% (+0.6).
At the same time, 6.2% of respondents have not yet decided how they will vote.
The poll also showed that 49% of respondents definitely plan to participate in the election, while another 21% “will most likely” vote. 12% stated they would not participate in the vote, 9% “will most likely not vote,” and another 9% are undecided.
The survey was conducted April 7–9, 2026, among 1,002 adult respondents in Poland.
As a reminder, on the eve of the election, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk took a jab at Jarosław Kaczyński, leader of the opposition Law and Justice party, against the backdrop of the opposition’s likely victory in Hungary’s parliamentary elections.
