A rocket fragment was found in Poland
A rocket fragment was discovered in the town of Jarosławiec in the Lublin Voivodeship, Poland.
This became known after a report from the owner of the land where the suspicious object was found, according to Polish Radio.
An investigative team from the Military Police department in Lublin promptly arrived at the scene. Law enforcement officials have launched a comprehensive investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident.
Department spokesperson Damian Stanula noted that a detailed investigation of the situation is currently underway.
“An examination of the object itself and the location where it was found. A search of the surrounding area to check for similar objects. And also the questioning of witnesses. The regional prosecutor’s office and the military affairs department have also been informed about this case,” he said.
According to preliminary findings, the object found is a small piece of a missile that may have been used by the Polish Air Force during the repulsion of an attack by Russian drones. This refers to the incident in which drones violated the country’s airspace on the night of September 9–10, 2025.
The investigation is currently ongoing, and law enforcement officials are examining all possible theories regarding the origin of the debris.
Earlier, several unidentified drones violated Finland’s airspace and crashed on its territory.
As a reminder, Finland has deported a record number of Russians.
Finland is also making it harder to obtain a permanent residence permit.
On Sunday, two drones, likely belonging to Ukraine, crashed on Finnish territory.
