In Russia, employees are leaving the Gulag History Museum in droves

Most of the staff at the Gulag History Museum—which is set to be transformed into an institution dedicated to the victims of the “genocide of the Soviet people”—have resigned or are in the process of resigning. The only exception is the administrative and operations department.

This is reported by Russian media.

According to a source, all exhibits from the previous exhibition have already been removed from the building, and part of the collection has been packed for transport. It is currently unknown where exactly these items are planned to be taken.

The renovated museum was scheduled to open by April 19, the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Genocide of the Soviet People. However, June 22—the start of the Great Patriotic War—is currently considered the working date.
