Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that Moscow has allegedly already expressed its willingness on multiple occasions to discuss the possible resumption of energy supplies to Germany.
According to her, the Russian side is open to such negotiations, and similar signals have been sent by Russia in the past.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson was asked to comment on remarks by Alice Weidel, leader of the pro-Russian far-right party “Alternative for Germany,” that Germany should stop boycotting Russian oil and gas.
“As you know, the Russian side has repeatedly stated at various levels that there are no obstacles to discussing with the German side the possibility of resuming energy supplies,” Zakharova said at a briefing on Wednesday.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, “Let official Berlin decide what they all want there.”
