Sales of home dental care kits have surged in Russia

Against the backdrop of rapidly rising prices for dental services in Russia, demand for at-home dental care products has surged significantly. In the first quarter of 2026, sales of these products on online marketplaces jumped by 63% compared to the same period last year.

According to Russian media reports citing a study by First Data, Russians made over 150,000 such purchases in three months, totaling more than 39 million rubles. 


Temporary fillings were the most frequently purchased items—they accounted for 58% of all orders, with an average price of 189 rubles. In second place were veneers (28% of purchases, averaging 325 rubles). Overall, the average cost of “dental self-care” products was 262 rubles.

Women are the most active buyers of these products—they account for 64% of purchases. The most interested age group is people aged 35 to 45 (30%). The highest number of online orders was recorded in Moscow (17%), St. Petersburg (10%), as well as in Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, and Novosibirsk. The study is based on an analysis of over 600,000 transactions and anonymized data from 2025–2026 across Russia.

After three years of unexpected economic growth, Russia is facing a sudden slowdown—war expenses, inflation, and falling oil prices have begun to weigh on an economy that until recently seemed resilient to sanctions.

Consumer lending in Russia has fallen to a six-year low.
