Russia has issued an arrest warrant in absentia for Madyar in yet another case

The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has issued a ruling to arrest in absentia Robert Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, known by the call sign “Madyar,” as part of yet another fabricated criminal case.

Along with him, Andriy Klymenko, commander of the 414th Separate Brigade of Strike Unmanned Aerial Systems, was also placed under similar arrest in absentia.

Russian authorities accuse Ukrainian military leaders of organizing a mass terrorist attack that resulted in the loss of life.

The formal pretext for opening the criminal case and issuing the court ruling was a precision strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a target in the temporarily occupied city of Starobilsk, Luhansk Oblast, which took place on May 22.

According to the Russian side, the strike hit a local college building, allegedly killing more than 20 people, the vast majority of whom were supposedly students.

At the same time, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had previously officially reported that on the night of May 22, Ukrainian forces successfully struck a number of the invaders’ strategic targets.

Among the targets destroyed was one of the main headquarters of the Russian special unit “Rubicon” in the Starobilsk area.

This unit functions as an enemy center for advanced unmanned technologies, whose representatives are directly involved in constant attacks on the civilian population and civilian targets on Ukrainian territory.

For Robert Brovdi, this is already the third criminal case that has been demonstratively opened by the law enforcement and judicial authorities of the Russian Federation.

The Russian judicial system regularly uses the practice of in absentia convictions against Ukrainian defenders and commanders for domestic propaganda purposes.

This was reported by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
