In recent days, Saudi Arabia has faced a series of missile and drone attacks attributed to the Houthis. On July 20, the Houthis announced a “maritime blockade” of Saudi Arabia and later claimed missile and drone attacks on vessels and facilities linked to Saudi Arabia.
Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia has led a coalition supporting Yemen’s internationally recognized government in its confrontation with the Houthis. The Houthis have controlled Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, and several provinces since September 2014.
