Saudi Arabia launches tree-planting campaign — Asharq Al-Awsat
The Green Riyadh program, overseen by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, has launched a tree-planting and clean-up campaign in Shuaib Umm Qasr in Saudi Arabia. The initiative was timed to coincide with celebrations of Saudi Arabia’s National Day, Asharq Al-Awsat reported, citing the Saudi Press Agency.
Volunteer participation
Campaign activities are scheduled for September 23 and will run from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Volunteers of different social groups will be able to take part. Participants will receive volunteer certificates in recognition of their contribution to environmental activities.
