10 people detained and drugs seized in Nigeria’s Delta State
In Delta State in southern Nigeria, police said they detained 10 people suspected of possessing illegal narcotic substances. As Premium Times Nigeria reports, all of them are in custody.
Raid in Abbi
Delta State police spokesperson Bright Edafe said the operation was conducted on Friday in the community of Abbi in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area. According to him, those detained include three men and seven women.

According to the police, the raid on a brothel was conducted by officers of the anti-cultism unit. The operation took place after information was received about the possible whereabouts of a wanted suspect who, according to law enforcement, may have been involved in an arson incident in August.
Seized substances
Edafe said that during the raid, law enforcement officers seized tramadol, Swinol, Canadian Loud, and a plant substance that police believe to be marijuana. According to him, police are establishing the degree of each detainee’s possible involvement. Those whom law enforcement finds guilty are expected to face criminal prosecution.
