Sweden sees sharp rise in explosions in 2025
Swedish police registered 189 explosions in 2025, a 39% increase compared to 2024. Criminal groups linked to Muslim gangs have been targeting residential buildings and commercial establishments, escalating concerns about public safety in the country.
According to data, 41% of criminals in these gangs were born abroad, and 82% have both parents who are immigrants from Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq, and regions in North Africa and the Middle East. This highlights complex social and ethnic challenges faced by Swedish law enforcement.
The future trend of these incidents is crucial for national security, as such violent acts could further fuel societal tensions and threaten overall stability.
