In the US, Trump said he earned hundreds of billions of dollars for the country from stocks
US President Donald Trump published a series of images, likely generated by artificial intelligence, and a number of unverified claims on Truth Social. In particular, he said that he had earned hundreds of billions of dollars for the United States from stocks and other assets. CNBC Top News reports.
In one post, Trump was depicted in front of several monitors at the White House, where he was allegedly watching the stock market. In the caption to the image, the president said that he was acting for the country, not for himself. He provided no evidence for the claim about hundreds of billions of dollars.
Intel stake and Truth API
As CNBC notes, in August 2025, the Trump administration acquired a 10% stake in semiconductor manufacturer Intel. According to the outlet, its value exceeds $50 billion.

Trump had previously been criticized over the launch of Truth API, a Truth Social feature costing $100,000 per month that provides early access to announcements of political decisions that could affect financial markets. In July, US senators urged the Securities and Exchange Commission to investigate whether Trump Media, the parent company of Truth Social, violated federal securities laws in connection with Truth API.
Posts about Iran
For more than ten hours on Sunday, Trump published dozens of images that CNBC describes as likely AI-generated. They included scenes depicting Iran's defeat and destruction, as well as images of Trump in heroic roles — alongside futuristic robots and in a Space Force command center.
Some posts contained infographics about Iran's economy without verified sources. One claimed that the Iranian currency had been destroyed, while another called Iran a declining state. CNBC notes that Iran's GDP likely contracted as a result of the war and inflation rose to a historically high level, but experts cautioned against concluding that the country faces an imminent economic collapse.
