Sudan reports two killed in drone attacks — Anadolu Agency
At least two people were killed and another 20 injured in drone attacks in the city of El-Obeid, the capital of Sudan's North Kordofan state. This was reported by Anadolu Agency, citing the independent Sudan Doctors Network.
Strikes on residential areas
According to the medical network, the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) attacked several residential neighborhoods in El-Obeid with guided drones from dawn until noon. The strikes resulted in civilian casualties and property damage.
Sudan Doctors Network described the attacks as a repetition of RSF violations against civilians and said they pose a threat to people's lives and worsen the humanitarian and medical situation in the city. The organization called on the RSF leadership to stop the strikes.

UN data on drone attacks
As of 16:50 GMT, there had been no comment from the RSF. Earlier, on August 24, the UN reported that 1,100 civilians had been killed in drone attacks across Sudan from January to June this year.
Sudanese authorities and human rights organizations accuse the RSF of attacking civilian facilities. The group usually does not comment directly on such accusations, while saying that it works to protect civilians. The war between the Sudanese army and the RSF has continued since April 2023; according to estimates by the UN and international organizations, it has claimed tens of thousands of lives and displaced about 13 million people.
