A partial blackout occurred in Tehran following new Israeli strikes

A partial blackout occurred in Tehran following new Israeli strikes

On the evening of Sunday, March 29, the Israeli military reported new strikes on Tehran, following which a partial blackout occurred in the Iranian capital.

This was reported by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

“The Israel Defense Forces are currently striking targets of the Iranian terrorist regime throughout Tehran,” the IDF said in a statement after seven rocket salvos fired from Iran were recorded during the day.

Iranian authorities confirmed that the shelling occurred following earlier strikes, which caused power outages in some areas of Tehran and Karaj.

A few hours later, the state-run FARS news agency reported that power had been restored to most areas of the capital.

As a reminder, on March 29, Iran struck one of the Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) plants in Abu Dhabi. Several plant employees were injured as a result of the attack.

Recall that the United States suffered significant technological and financial losses during the attack in the Middle East. As a result of the massive shelling of the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, Iranian missiles and drones destroyed a rare E-3 Sentry (AWACS) long-range radar detection aircraft.

The day before, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced possible strikes on American universities in the Middle East.

And U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance stated that the U.S. intends to continue the war with Iran for some time to neutralize that country for a “very long period.”
