According to the Coast Guard, the 17-year-old boy and his father were in the boat. The teenager decided to catch the shark and pull it on board, but the predator bit him. The father immediately applied a tourniquet, and they rowed the boat to shore.
Upon arrival, the man called the Coast Guard, whose specialists applied a second tourniquet to the boy and transported him to the nearest hospital.
