Eight people charged with drug trafficking in Tel Aviv — Jerusalem Post
In Israel, eight people, including five women, have been charged with drug trafficking following an undercover police operation in southern Tel Aviv. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post, citing police.
Undercover operation
Two police officers who were recently recruited by the Sharet police station in the Ayalon District took part in the investigation. The operation targeted drug-selling locations in the southern part of the city.
The officers operated undercover and carried out drug purchases from various suspects. At the same time, investigators collected evidence that, according to police, links those involved to dozens of drug sale transactions.

Detentions and charges
According to police, those involved in the case allegedly sold significant quantities of heroin and cocaine to various clients, including foreigners living in southern Tel Aviv.
After the covert phase of the operation was completed, police detained all eight suspects and brought them to the Sharet police station for questioning. The court extended their detention throughout the investigation. After it was completed, the prosecution filed indictments and sought to keep all defendants in custody until the end of the trial.
