In Warsaw, a moose wandered onto the tracks and brought train service to a halt
Train service was suspended for more than an hour near Warsaw’s central train station after a moose wandered onto the tracks. The disruption lasted about 80 minutes.
Around 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, the Polish railway operator PKP reported that a moose had been spotted on the tracks near Warsaw’s Central Station.
Due to the animal, platforms 3 and 4 were temporarily closed, and passengers were warned of possible train delays.
Railway workers, together with specialists, launched an operation to safely remove the moose from the railway premises.
After 10:00 p.m., PKP reported that the moose had been successfully removed from the tracks.
Following this, train service in the area of Warsaw’s Central Station resumed as usual.
In total, train service was disrupted for approximately 80 minutes due to this unusual intruder.

Earlier, an unusual incident occurred in Kyiv’s Svyatoshynsky District—a moose wandered into a high-rise building and hid right in the stairwell. Local residents began calling the 112 emergency line en masse to report the wild animal’s appearance in the city.
