A boulevard in Warsaw was closed after a piece of ammunition from World War II was found
In Warsaw, an unexploded ordnance was discovered during repairs to a tram line on Solidarity Avenue. Traffic on the avenue, which is one of the city’s main thoroughfares, was subsequently blocked.
According to “European Truth,” citing Onet, police are securing the site where the explosive device was found. Law enforcement officers will remain there until a bomb squad arrives.

Monika Kaczyńska, a spokesperson for the Kyiv Police, reported that law enforcement officers are working at the scene. According to her, an officer from the Mine and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit was dispatched to the site and has preliminarily confirmed that the object may date back to World War II.
In May, approximately 30,000 people were evacuated in Pforzheim, Germany, after a World War II-era bomb was discovered. Earlier, about a hundred old shells were also found near Warsaw during construction work, and in Latvia, an aerial bomb from that period was discovered during road repairs.
